I’ve read the Harry Potter series more than 5 times ⁠⠀

𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 & 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.⁠⠀
⁠I proposed to my wife on New Year’s Day and we had planned to get married sometime in 2021. But just as we were about to start making preparations and putting down payments for things, COVID 19 really started to get serious. So we decided to have a much smaller wedding with just family and a few friends, since we weren’t sure when things would return to normal. I haven’t seen my friends as often as I’d like because of COVID and the wedding is a prime example. I’m not going out as often so I don’t see friends out as much as I used to, and I’m also not playing flag [football] like I usually am throughout the year so I haven’t seen my teammates much either. ⁠⠀

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻?⁠⠀
Probably next year, or whenever we flatten the curve ⁠⠀

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲? 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲?⁠⠀
Overall I’m pretty pleased with my experience with adult sports leagues⁠⠀

You can’t control what happens, but you can control how you react to it⁠⠀
